TEM at the RMS Learning Zone

The RMS Learning Zone will include Transmission Electron Microscopy for the first time at emc2012.  Short talks about the basics will introduce the important concepts such as aligning the instrument, calibrations and image interpretation. We'll also give an overview of the wide range of imaging and analysis techniques in the TEM, including some of the new developments in aberration correction.

To illustrate the concepts introduced in the scheduled talks, the RMS Learning Zone will also offer short demonstrations at the TEM, making use of instruments located in the Exhibition.  And if you have your own individual questions or want to explore topics in greater depth, there will be TEM experts in the Learning Zone at other times during the Exhibition.

So do come along to listen and observe and to ask your own questions.  Whether you are a new or not-so-new user of the TEM, or you want to learn more about what lies behind the results produced by TEM colleagues, the Learning Zone is there to help!
